Diversity | Equity | Inclusion

We are better together.

At Cannabis Creative, our differences make us stronger – and we’ll never back down from protecting our people. From underrepresented groups in the industry to those harmed by the War on Drugs to our powerhouse team of cannabis professionals, and everyone in between, we embrace and appreciate all humans.

We are dedicated to educating, amplifying, engaging, and empowering our team and industry at large by cultivating partnerships with impactful organizations, promoting education through our communications, and taking responsibility for our role in creating and sustaining an environment that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive.

What is diversity, equity, and inclusion?

Diversity

All the ways in which people differ.

Equity

Fair treatment, access, opportunity, and advancement for all people. One’s identity cannot predict the outcome.

Inclusion

A variety of people have power, a voice, and decision-making authority.

I am so proud to work for a company that outwardly and proudly stands up for diversity, equity and inclusion. I cannot wait to see the positive changes the DEI committee will make for CCG and hopefully inspire others to do the same.

As a woman of color and the daughter of immigrants, I am extremely passionate about DEI and creating belonging for others who can relate to the feeling of being out of place at times. I'm thrilled to be a part of the effort to make CCG and our industry a more inclusive one.

Philanthropy, education and cannabis are my passions. Before joining the cannabis industry, I helped run nonprofits and it brings me joy to see companies diving head first into diversity, equity and inclusion. I love that our company is talking about diversity in hiring, looking for trainings on topics such as racism or inclusion, and encouraging employees to volunteer locally. I look forward to seeing our company growth in this area.

At CCG, we celebrate our differences and I love that our team is passionate about being advocates for change. I'm proud to be part of an organization that recognizes the importance of DEI - both in the workplace and out in the world.

Change begins with us.

While a cannabis marketing agency cannot undo the systemic oppressions put in place over decades by the War on Drugs and other legislative programs, we can take responsibility for the areas in which we can create change.

Here are the initiatives we’re working towards achieving to create a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive team and company culture:

DEI Committee

Our internal initiative to ensure that our team remains culturally competent, engaged, and educated in this space.

Diversity Internship

A program to diversify our network and industry through new potential talent at the collegiate level.

Day Of Caring

Our employees dedicate their time to volunteer, give back and create change in their own communities with a focus on four impact areas: environmental sustainability, children & youth, animal welfare, and health & wellness.

Training & Education

As DEI work constantly evolves, we are committed to ongoing training and education so we can tell your stories better.

Our committee members

We are proud to have one-third of our workforce represented in our Cannabis Creative DEI Committee. This group meets monthly to work on new initiatives, discover educational opportunities, collaborate with external diversity partners, and more. Together, we aim to push our collective forward – for the company, for the industry, and beyond.
