GrowGeneration Corp. (“GrowGen”) is currently the largest hydroponic equipment supplier in the country, with 28 organic garden centers across 10 states.
The company carries and sells thousands of products, from organic nutrients, soils, advanced lighting technology, to state-of-the-art hydroponic equipment used by commercial and home growers. Additionally, GrowGeneration offers greenhouse design solutions and harvesting solutions at any scale.
GrowGeneration was looking for a marketing partner with social media expertise to help create and manage social media accounts for each of its retail locations across the country. The goal was to help bring local awareness and traffic to the stores and assist in generating sales through localized campaigns. They wanted to put more energy and time into both Instagram and Facebook but needed some guidance setting up the chain with new accounts and growing the audience.
The Cannabis Creative team focused initial efforts on a social media audit and analysis to learn more about the overall landscape that GrowGeneration was competing in. After the research was complete, Cannabis Creative developed a competitive social media strategy and implementation plan. The team created and managed over 27 Instagram accounts for each of GrowGeneration’s retail locations, in addition to managing its corporate social media accounts. This included setting up and optimizing brand new Instagram profiles for each of the 27 retail locations and developing a content and engagement strategy specifically for the GrowGeneration brand. The professional creative team designed custom social media profile graphics in-line with the GrowGeneration brand including cover photos, social profile pictures, and Instagram highlights.
The Cannabis Creative social media team also customized content scheduling to the sales and geographic location of each store and its audience and helped manage local campaigns to increase the following and engagement on social accounts across the board.
The Cannabis Creative team developed monthly content calendars with posts custom-designed to promote Grow Generation’s carried brands, partners, vendors, sales & promotions, and events for each of its locations. They also designed and managed paid campaigns on Instagram and Facebook to market the GrowGenerationGrow Generation brand and researched and executed an influencer marketing strategy for the client.
