Owned by three cousins whose families are deeply embedded in the community — they also own the well-known liquor store chain Kappy’s — the business aims to establish itself as a “friendly, neighborhood dispensary” with top-quality products. With over 80 years of living and working in Malden, the family is dedicated to giving back to the community and establishing long-term relationships with customers.
Branding a modern site with fun, friendly vibes
Through brand and discovery questionnaires, we learned that Eastern Cannabis wanted their website to portray a modern, high-end look. They wanted their brand messaging to be fun and accessible with an added “cool” factor. Our cannabis web design team created a clean, modern site using high-quality cannabis photography and their sans serif font for text. Blocks of color in their brand color scheme — red, gold, shades of blue, off-white and gray — helped create the classy and cool aesthetic they were looking for.
Our branding team developed content that reflected the values of Eastern Cannabis, sharing their family’s story and commitment to the community, and using fun phrases that would resonate with potential customers (for example, “A family-owned joint” and “Your friendly neighborhood dispensary”). Additionally, we designed a blog page that could be filled with content whenever they’re ready to upload.
After a race to the finish, Eastern Cannabis’ website is ready to launch.
